Today I
have to write about my favorite book… It’s kind of hard for me, because I
don’t have one! There are too many different writers and varieties that makes hard
for me to pick one.
I’ve always
like to read, when I was in high school I remember I read all the best seller
series such a Harry Potter, Twilight, The Hunger Games (haha). My favorite
writer in those times was Alberto Fuguet, because I could feel related to the
stories that he tells in his books. But
as the times gone by I have change my preference to a different kind. (That’s
why is hard to decide!).
So, I
decided I’m going to write about one book that I’ve recently read and change me
in some ways.
The book is
“The Second Sex” by the feminist writer Simone de Beauvoir. It’s one of the
most important books of feminism and it was written in 1949. The book is about
what means to be born as a woman in this society. What impress me the most
about it, that’s was written so many years ago, but we still dealing with the
same problems. The book made me wonder a lot, and it was hard for me to read it
sometimes because I had to look for many concept I didn’t know the meaning and that’s another reason why I liked it so much.
